No matching sizes. Try a single dimension, change the tray system, or send us your tray drawing.
*MOQ basis: Existing fully encapsulated rectangular constructions start at 500 pieces per size. This minimum applies to the approved tooling, corner geometry, colour and packing specification. New structural projects are quoted at 2,000–3,000 pieces plus applicable tooling.
Conversion: inches = millimetres ÷ 25.4, rounded to two decimals. These decimal conversions are not manufacturing tolerances. Use millimetres for the order and record the finished dimensions and tolerances on the drawing.
Tray fit: Tray sizes describe the nominal format. The mat sits on the flat base inside the rim. Use the fit notes to select an outline and include the SBM size code in your inquiry.
02 / Tray systems
“Half size” needs a system name.
A half-sheet pan in the US and a half-format European bakery tray are different products. Gastronorm uses its own proportions. Put the system and dimensions together in every purchase order.
United States
Sheet pans
- Full sheet
- 26 × 18 in
660.4 × 457.2 mm - Half sheet
- 18 × 13 in
457.2 × 330.2 mm - Quarter sheet
- 13 × 9 or 9½ in
Width varies by pan model
Nominal pan dimensions, not liner dimensions. Commercial pan measurements can differ from the exact inch conversion.

Metric trays

- 600 × 400 mm
- Smaller format
- 400 × 300 mm
- Large / long formats
- 800 × 600 mm
800 × 400 mm
For a rimmed 600 × 400 tray, start with a 585 × 385 mm liner and check the flat base. A full 600 × 400 mat needs a support surface that accommodates it.

- GN 2/3

GN 2/3 measures 354 × 325 mm. Keep that designation separate from a US two-thirds sheet. For GN 1/1, start with a 520 × 315 mm liner.
03 / Fit before tooling
Measure where the mat will sit.
The rolled rim is easy to measure. The useful measurement is the flat base inside the tray, before its sides begin to slope upward.
- Record the tray brand, model and nominal size.
- Measure the flat base in both directions. Include the corner radius or a dimensioned photograph.
- Send us the base dimensions so we can specify the outline, clearance and finished-size tolerances.
- Approve a sample on the actual tray. The mat should sit flat with its sealed edge intact.
Do not trim a fiberglass-reinforced mat to make it fit. Cutting can expose the glass reinforcement and remove the perimeter seal.
04 / Existing dies
Corner geometry determines the tool.
A 420 × 295 mm rectangle with cut corners is a different outline from a 420 × 295 mm mat with rounded corners. In a fully encapsulated mat, the glass core and the finished silicone perimeter also have different dimensions.
Square corner
Specify the finished rectangle and the border width. Check the pan’s curved corners.
45° cut corner
Give the cut-back distance along each edge. “45°” defines an angle, not the corner size.
Rounded corner
Give the radius in mm. R20 and R25 are different outlines; confirm the available geometry.
For example: SBM-420x295 · cut corners · cut-back to drawing, or SBM-420x295 · R25 requested. These describe an inquiry. A production tool number is assigned or confirmed after the drawing is checked.
Ask for the finished length and width, body thickness, border width and thickness, corner geometry, and confirmation that the reinforcement is fully enclosed. We identify the cutting and sealing tools for that finished specification before production.
05 / Order planning
Starting MOQs by specification.
Our fully encapsulated silicone fiberglass baking mats start at 500 pieces per size for an existing rectangular construction. Select the options below to plan your order. Your quotation sets the production quantity and tooling requirements for the complete specification.
| Specification | Starting MOQ | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Existing rectangular / square construction | 500 pcs per size | Existing thickness and standard colour; confirm the finished outline and edge seal. |
| Round format | 1,000 pcs | Quote by diameter and sealed-edge construction. |
| Logo / single-colour guides | 500 pcs per artwork | The mat size minimum still applies. Approve print position and artwork separately. |
| Multi-colour / full-surface print | 1,000 pcs per artwork | Confirm the printing process and finished product specification. |
| New thickness, surface or border structure | 2,000 pcs | Sample and tooling review before production. |
| New shape / structural design | 2,000–3,000 pcs + tooling | Tooling cost and ownership are quotation items. |
| Pantone colour / two-colour combination | 3,000 pcs per colour or combination | Applies to a new body, border or colour combination. |
| Paper sleeve / printed colour box | 1,000 / 3,000 pcs per artwork | Packaging minimums are separate from the mat minimum. |
Order example: 500 pieces each of 420 × 295 and 585 × 385 mm means 1,000 mats across two sizes. It does not mean 500 mixed-size pieces. Printed colour boxes start at 3,000 pieces per artwork. Choose plain packing for a 500-piece mat order, or discuss a sleeve run for your first order.
The quotation lists any tooling charge alongside the finished outline, sealing structure and sample requirements.
06 / Buyer questions
Before you send the order.
What size silicone baking mat fits a US half-sheet pan?
420 × 295 mm (16.54 × 11.61 inches) is the standard liner size to start with for an 18 × 13 inch half-sheet pan. Confirm the pan’s usable flat base and corner geometry before approving the mat.
Which mat should I choose for a 600 × 400 mm European tray?
Choose 585 × 385 mm for an inset liner, with final fit determined by the usable flat base. A 600 × 400 mm mat needs a full 600 × 400 mm support surface; it will not lie flat where a rim reduces that space.
Is GN 1/1 the same size as a US half sheet?
No. GN 1/1 is 530 × 325 mm; a US half sheet is nominally 18 × 13 inches (457.2 × 330.2 mm). Use 520 × 315 mm as the starting liner size for GN 1/1 and 420 × 295 mm for a US half sheet, then check the tray base.
How do I order a baking mat using an existing die?
Send the SBM size code, corner geometry, thickness and quantity. SIFMAT confirms the available cutting and edge-sealing tooling against the finished drawing. Your quotation states the tooling requirements and any tooling charge.
What is the starting MOQ for an existing baking mat size?
Existing fully encapsulated rectangular constructions start at 500 pieces per size. Round formats start at 1,000 pieces. New structural projects are quoted at 2,000–3,000 pieces plus applicable tooling. The final minimum also depends on colour, artwork and packaging.
Can a fiberglass-reinforced baking mat be cut to fit?
Order the finished size with its sealed perimeter. Cutting a fully encapsulated fiberglass mat can expose the reinforcement and remove the edge seal. Use a correctly sized finished mat instead of trimming it in the kitchen.
Ready to check a size?
Send the tray dimensions.
We’ll check the finished mat.
Include the size reference, tray brand or drawing, corner shape, quantity per size, print and packing needs. We’ll confirm the proposed construction, tooling and sample scope.
